Bach Laughing Owl

The Bach Laughing Owl is a spacious tunnel-style tent designed to accommodate up to four people on lightweight outdoor adventures. Its layout offers a generous living area and private sleeping quarters, making it well suited for family camping trips or small group expeditions where a balance of roominess and packability is needed.

Constructed with a GorLyn 30 siliconised ripstop nylon flysheet, this tent delivers a durable yet lightweight outer layer that helps shed rain and resist tears. Inside, the 40D breathable ripstop nylon inner tent promotes airflow to reduce condensation, while the 40D ripstop nylon floor stands up to ground abrasion. With a peak height of 200 cm, a sleeping area depth of 430 cm and a width of 250 cm, there’s enough headroom and floor space for everyone, and when packed down to 57 x 19 cm at 5.69 kg it remains manageable for most car-camp setups.

Ripstop fabrics are woven with a reinforcing technique that prevents small tears from spreading, and the “D” value (denier) indicates the yarn thickness—a higher number means a tougher fabric. The siliconised treatment on the 30D flysheet adds extra strength and resistance to weathering, while the breathable 40D inner fabric helps maintain a comfortable interior environment by allowing moisture to escape.
