The different types of campers and motorhomes
There are many different motorhomes and campers on the road. They come in all shapes and sizes. From small, self-constructed vans to specially designed motorhomes and fully custom-built 4x4 trucks. To provide some guidance in choosing the right camper awnning, we have grouped our camper awnings into 5 categories. Minicampers
Small vans are regularly used as mini camper. The most popular micro camper is undoubtedly the Renault Kangoo. In these mini campers standing height and sheltered space are things to think of in advance, , especially when the wetter could force you to stay inside. Campervans
This group of compact campers has gained an almost iconic status as the vehicle for discovering the world. Many campervan models are serially produced with an elevating roof that provides standing room in the van. The style icon campervan is the Volkswagen Transporter, but fortunately there are many other options for a more modest price to create your own dream campervan. 4x4s campers
4x4s are frequently used as travelling homes for holidays. They may pick-ups with sleeping cabins or Land Rover Defenders converted to 4WD mobile homes. The options and outfit for these adventurous looking camping vehicles grow every season. High-top campervans
High-top campervans add a few extra’s to your holiday vehicle: height, width and length. In high-top campervans there is also a larger selection of lengths and engines to choose from. They are comfortable travel vehicles with standing height in living area of the van. Although they may not fit in an average car park, they can be used reasonably well in cities. Overcab and A-class motorhomes
These motorhomes are luxury, comfortable and large holiday vehicles. They are designed to accommodate up to 6 persons comfortably. In overcab motorhomes there is a fixed double bed space in the overcab compartment. A-class motorhomes have a fully integrated design from the driver's seats to living area and various sleeping areas. Motorhomes are often built on the chassis of large vans like a Ducato or Sprinter, A-class versions may also be built on a truck chassis.
