The Black Diamond Transfer LT Shovel is a lightweight snow tool designed for ski touring and avalanche safety. It’s meant to handle everything from snow pits to emergency digging, fitting neatly into your pack without taking up much space.

Its 550 cm² blade balances efficient snow clearing with a compact profile, while the telescoping handle, adjustable from 56 to 76 cm, gives you extra reach when needed and stows down for easy transport. At just 408 grams, it won’t weigh you down as you move through the backcountry.

The blade volume of 550 cm² refers to its surface area, letting you scoop a solid amount of snow each time without dragging a bulky tool. The adjustable handle length provides better leverage during deep digs and tucks away quickly when you’re on the move.
