Product Description

The Daktent 140L Deluxe from Dare to be Different is a soft-top rooftop tent that fits onto a vehicle’s roof rack, giving you a dry, raised place to sleep wherever the road leads. It unfolds into a shelter with a built-in mattress, so you won’t have to worry about pitching on uneven ground or clearing a campsite.

Its main body is made from sturdy 300 g canvas blending cotton and polyester that balances breathability with strength, while the attached fly-top uses a ripstop Oxford polyester treated to resist UV damage and tearing. The floor is a high-pressure bonded aluminum sandwich board with extra reinforcements, so you won’t feel every bump from the ground below. Inside there’s a 240 × 140 × 6 cm polyester mattress with a zip-off, washable cotton cover for easy cleaning. When folded the tent packs down to 150 × 125 × 38 cm and weighs 59 kg, so make sure your roof rack can handle it before you hit the road.

The tent fabric’s PU-coating adds a protective layer against moisture and dirt, helping it shed light rain and splashes without soaking through. Ripstop refers to a weaving pattern that includes thicker threads at regular intervals, which stops small tears from running and keeps the material strong even after rough handling.

The 140L Deluxe is a two person rooftop tent with a mattress size of 2.4 x 1.4 m. This makes it also suitable for young families with a baby or toddler. The tent can be set up in 5 minutes. small dimensions it is easy to put on the car and when folded it is only 150x125x38cm and is therefore easy to store.

The 140L Deluxe is unique because: This 2 person rooftop tent has no less than 3 skylights. This rooftop tent has a 100% covered entrance. The rooftop tent has 2 extra windows on the sides of the entrance. The unique color combination creates a very dark sleeping cabin.
The 3 skylights are unique in this segment. The third skylight is located above the entrance and provides better ventilation and more light above the ladder. This of course contributes to better safety. The entrance is covered with the necessary windows so that you always enter the tent dry. This means that your bedding will not get wet if you forget to close the door. The two extra PVC windows in the side of the canopy make it easy to see outside even when standing on the stairs. These two windows also provide that little bit of extra light on and around the stairs. The base color of the tent is dark brown. The 140L Deluxe rooftop tent is therefore very dark inside. And you can sleep in for a long time, even when it is light early.
Because the double roof system is in the sand color on the outside, the dark canvas of the tent absorbs less heat, making it pleasant in the sun in the tent.
