DMM Belay Master 2

The Belay Master 2 by DMM is a compact belay device designed for sport and indoor climbing. It’s built to work with standard ropes and carabiners, helping you manage rope friction whether you’re top-roping at the gym or leading on rock.

Made from 100% aluminium, the Belay Master 2 keeps your rack light at just 93 grams without sacrificing durability. Its screw-lock gate adds an extra layer of security by requiring a manual twist to lock the device in place, while the 20 mm opening gives you room to clip in most carabiners easily. These features make it straightforward to feed rope smoothly while still keeping you safe.

This device carries EN 362:2004 B/T and EN 12275:2013 B & H certifications. EN 362 covers connectors used in personal protective equipment, and EN 12275 applies to mountaineering connectors for belaying and hauling. The screw-lock mechanism is a simple manual system: you twist the outer sleeve to close the gate and then tighten it against the body, reducing the chance of the gate opening by accident.
