The Elan Ibex 94 Carbon is a lightweight touring ski crafted for backcountry enthusiasts who want a reliable ride both uphill and down. Its design focuses on providing efficiency on the skin track without compromising stability when you drop into fresh snow.
At just 1390 grams per ski in a 186 cm length, the Ibex 94 Carbon helps reduce fatigue on long ascents while retaining enough heft for solid edge grip on descents. The 94 mm waist strikes a balance between manoeuvrability and float, making the ski versatile across firm snow and softer, wind-blown corn. With a flat binding interface, you can pair it with the binding system that best matches your touring style and boot sole.
The Ibex’s 21.2 m radius (measured at 177 cm) describes the sidecut curve and indicates a medium-sized turn pattern—large enough for stable arcs at speed, yet responsive enough for tighter, more controlled turns. Its sidecut dimensions of 130 mm at the tip, 94 mm underfoot and 111 mm at the tail help the ski initiate smooth turn entry while providing a wider contact patch for float and soft-snow performance.

Elan says about the Ibex 94 Carbon
All of the benefits of lightweight technology in a wider chassis, the Ibex 94 Carbon is designed for bigger terrain and deeper snow.
It's tricky finding that perfect balance between downhill performance and lightweight for ascending. The Ibex 94 Carbon is the perfect solution for riders that want more float on the descent or generally prefer a wider ski in the backcountry. For the ambitious free tourer we combined new generation Bridge technology with a Tubelite Woodcore and the result is a strong ski with power rebound and the best weight/performance ratio in the freetouring segment. The unique shape of the ski sheds snow from the top sheet, mountain rocker with added width is buoyant during ascent in soft snow and confident when charging on the way down, no matter the conditions.
