The Exped Dura 5R MW is an insulated airbed made for backcountry and cold-weather camping, combining cushioning and thermal protection to keep you comfortable on rocky or uneven ground down to subzero temperatures.
It features a recycled 75D polyester top for a durable, non-slippery sleeping surface and 160 g/m² Texpedloft microfiber insulation to trap warmth without relying on down. Measuring 183 × 65 cm when inflated and rolling down to a 27 × 14.5 cm package, it strikes a balance between comfort and packability, and at 960 g it leans into its winter performance without taking up too much space in your pack.
The R-value of 4.8 indicates how well the pad resists heat flow: the higher the number, the more insulation you get. With a rating of 4.8, the Dura 5R MW helps prevent heat loss to the ground in temperatures as low as −20 °C. Its insulation is bluesign-certified, meaning the materials and processes meet strict environmental and safety standards.
