The Hilleberg Keron 3 is a three-person, lightweight tunnel tent designed to provide reliable shelter on trekking and camping trips. As part of Hilleberg’s Keron series, it offers a straightforward layout and efficient use of space for both sleeping and gear storage.
Constructed with triple silicone–coated 40 D ripstop nylon (Kerlon 1800) for the outer tent and a heavier 100 D nylon floor, the Keron 3 strikes a balance between light weight and toughness. The roomy 430 × 160 × 105 cm footprint gives you enough space for three occupants plus gear, while the DAC Featherlite NSL poles keep the structure stable without adding unnecessary bulk. You’ll also find 18 pegs, guylines and a carry bag included, so you have everything you need to set up camp.
In fabric terms, “40 D” refers to the denier count, which describes the thickness of the yarns—this level is light enough to cut pack weight but strong enough to resist tears. The Kerlon 1800 ripstop pattern prevents small snags from enlarging, and the 100 D floor material holds up against rough ground. The DAC Featherlite NSL poles use a narrow shaft design that reduces weight while maintaining flexibility and tension for a reliable pitch.
