The MSR Elixir 4 is a four-person dome tent designed to strike a balance between weight and livable space. It’s aimed at small groups or families who want a reliable shelter that won’t weigh down a weekend pack or take up all the room in the car.
Built with a 60D polyester ripstop fly and a PU-coated 70D taffeta nylon floor, the Elixir 4 stands up to abrasion and light moisture without becoming a heavyweight chore. Inside, 20D nylon micromesh panels offer insect protection and plenty of airflow while you sleep or relax. The 224 cm by 375 cm floor fits four sleeping pads side by side, and the 122 cm peak height lets you sit up comfortably. At 3.6 kg and packing down to 56 × 17 cm, it’s manageable for two people to share the load. You’ll also find aluminum stakes, guylines, a footprint and a stuffsac included, so you can pitch straight out of the bag and give the tent’s fabrics an extra layer of protection on rough ground.
