The Nomad Orion 400 XL is a 3-season mummy-style sleeping bag aimed at campers who want a bit more length and dependable warmth as temperatures dip from spring into autumn. It’s rated to keep women comfortable down to about +3 °C and men to around –2 °C, blending down and synthetic fill for warmth without bulk.
With its extra-long 210 cm length and 80 cm shoulder width, the Orion 400 XL gives taller users (up to roughly 180 cm) room to stretch out. The top layer of 3D-Polardown Plus insulation pairs with 3D-Polardown underneath to deliver a good balance of loft and durability, holding in heat where you need it most while still packing down small. Its 15D superlight polyester shell is breathable and treated to repel water, and the soft-touch inner fabric carries a Polygiene® finish to cut down on odours. All told, it comes in at 760 g, so it’s easy to carry on multi-day trips.
3D-Polardown is made of three-dimensional clusters that mimic down by trapping air for warmth, while the “Plus” version adds extra loft over your torso. The 15D rating refers to the fineness of the polyester yarn—thin enough to save weight but durable enough for rough ground. Polygiene® treatment embeds a mild antibacterial agent in the fabric, helping to keep the bag fresher between washes on longer adventures.
