ABS, or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, is a rigid thermoplastic known for its strength and impact resistance, helping the helmet maintain its shape under stress. MIPS is a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows slight movement between the head and shell, reducing the rotational motion transferred to your brain during angled impacts.
