The Solar Eco 1 Long from RAB is a mummy-style sleeping bag designed for solo campers who need reliable warmth in mild to cool conditions. Its extended length makes it a good choice for sleepers up to around two metres tall, providing extra room without unnecessary bulk.

Filled with Stratus synthetic insulation, this bag maintains loft and warmth even if the conditions turn damp, while the 20D Atmos ripstop polyester shell is treated with a fluorocarbon-free DWR to shed moisture and resist wear. The tapered profile concentrates warmth around your core, and at roughly 765 g it sits in the light-weight category for a bag rated comfortable down to 5 °C, striking a balance between packability and insulation.

Stratus insulation uses fine synthetic fibres that mimic down loft but continue to insulate when wet. The “20D” denier rating refers to the yarn thickness—light enough to keep weight low but woven in a ripstop pattern to limit tears—and the DWR (durable water repellent) finish helps water bead up and roll off the fabric rather than soaking in.
