Product Description

The Salomon Speedcross 5 GTX is a men’s trail running shoe made for tackling muddy, off-road terrain. Built around a race-oriented design, it features a narrow fit and a Gore-Tex membrane to keep your feet dry when conditions get wet and sloppy.

The outsole’s mud/trail pattern delivers reliable grip on soft, uneven ground so you can maintain momentum through puddles and loose soil. Weighing in at about 340 grams per shoe, it stays light enough to help you pick up speed without sacrificing protection from rocks and roots.

The 10 mm heel-to-toe drop means the heel sits modestly higher than the forefoot, encouraging a forward-leaning stance that many runners find helps with propulsion on climbs. This moderate drop strikes a balance between cushioning under the heel and ground feel beneath the forefoot, making it easier to adapt your stride across varied trail surfaces.
