The Smith Level is a men’s freeride ski helmet designed to offer reliable protection on variable terrain. With a focus on durability and comfort, it provides coverage suited to aggressive skiing styles without unnecessary extras.
Built with a hybrid shell construction, the Level merges a tough ABS hard shell with a lighter in-mold design to strike a balance between impact resistance and weight. Integrated vents promote airflow during long descents or warmer days on the mountain, helping to regulate temperature and keep you focused on the run.
Hybrid shell helmets combine an outer hard shell—known for its ability to resist multiple impacts—with an inner in-mold layer that reduces overall weight. The Level’s standard EPS foam liner absorbs impact energy by compressing, and while it does not include MIPS (a rotational impact system), it maintains straightforward design and reliable crash protection.

Smith says about the Level
Like a good day on the mountain, the Smith Level ski and snowboard helmet is at your service for ranging far and wide. It brings the added energy absorption of zonal Koroyd® and the advanced angled impact protection of MIPS® to let you focus on ripping high speed arcs in the alpine and chasing untracked lines in the trees. The hybrid shell design adds durability without weighing you down for a helmet that you will actually take with you when the backcountry beckons. And because you love to ski all day, the fit and vents are adjustable on the fly, so you never need to slow down.
