Product Description

The Salomon S/Race Shot GS 19/20 is a giant slalom ski designed for carving precise, high-speed turns on groomed slopes. It’s aimed at skiers who want a responsive ski that holds an edge through longer, arcing turns.

With a 17 m turn radius (at 175 cm), this ski balances stability and maneuverability, making it well suited for sweeping descents. The 117/70/99 mm sidecut profile gives you enough width underfoot for grip while still allowing quick engagement at the tip and tail. Mounted with Salomon’s Z12 GW binding, it offers reliable power transfer and compatibility with both alpine and GripWalk boots. At 2015 g per ski, it stays light enough to swing from turn to turn without feeling cumbersome.

The turn radius measures how tightly the ski will carve—17 m favors smooth, controlled arcs rather than rapid short turns. Sidecut describes the difference between tip, waist and tail widths; a deeper sidecut (wider tip and tail relative to the waist) helps the ski bite into the snow when you lean into a turn.
